Twenty college students made a great impact this week! They served as lifeguards, wranglers, roofers, stainers, dining room helpers, actors, vocalists, and assistant team leaders (counselors). What a blessing! Pastor Dave Hohulin also provided some gospel presentations utilizing fun illusions.
A big thank you to this crew, from Illinois, as they gave the campers a week of their summer! We are looking forward to other groups from Nebraska and Michigan helping us in the sessions to come. It is not too early to start planning for next summer…. Do you have a group that would like to come to serve? We’d love to have you.
Your child will want to be a part of another great summer of go-cart riding, tubing, swimming, zip-lining, horseback riding, and ultimate learning about the Secret to Success is kicking off! In addition to all of the activities, the kids will have fun learning Bible lessons from the life of Joseph. What were the secrets to his success?
After two weeks of intensive training, the summer staff will welcome the Day Campers (June 9-13 , ages 6-13) and then will be ready for seven one-week sessions of resident camp for children ages 8-14 (sessions are from Sunday evening to Friday evening). We still have some space available, but you’ll need to get registered soon. We hope to see your camper this summer!
For registration information, contact Sonya at 800-991-CAMP or camp[at]beechpoint.com.
Okay, it may not be completely new, but think about this possibility…. Instead of sending a contribution to sponsor a camper, why don’t you go out in your neighborhood (or family) and find a young person who would benefit from a week at Beechpoint? You would help them do the paperwork/registration and then you would sponsor them for the week. This model would help to keep you in contact with the child - encouraging them, praying for them, and inviting them to church with you on their return.
If this concept connects with you, simply call the office for registration information at 800-991-CAMP.
